EGAD Architectural & Engineering Group recently announced the addition of Michael McCauley, P.E. and senior structural engineer for the firm.
McCauley, a member of AISC, ICC, and ASCE, brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to EGAD. Prior to joining the EGAD team, McCauley worked with Haines, Gipson, and Associates in Lawrenceville, Georgia, a mid-sized structural engineering firm. McCauley attended the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, where he graduated with honors earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering. After obtaining his P.E. license, he obtained accreditation with the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). This accreditation allows for more efficient registration in states where EGAD is not currently licensed and also establishes EGAD as a Model Law Engineering Firm (MLE). McCauley is particularly experienced in low and mid-rise construction with expertise in conventional post and beam steel construction, light gauge-load bearing metal stud, cast-in-place concrete, post-tensioned concrete, load bearing masonry, wood construction, tilt-up construction, and non-building site structures such as retaining and detention walls.
McCauley looks to immediately contribute to the EGAD Architectural and Engineering team in order to help in their continued growth and success. Having completed projects all over the United States including seismically active areas in California, his background and knowledge in the structural design field will make McCauley a valuable addition to EGAD as they expand their business throughout the United States.
